LV's Nimbus PM Bag At Salhiya Complex

I could only post one liner to this post and save your precious time by just saying "Available at Salhiya. I hate it. Don't buy it". But I just felt the need to share additional information on this bag should you feel the need to read more while waiting for your favorite TV show to start.

Louis Vuitton's Monogram Olympe Nimbus PM, made out of smokey lambskin leather (yeey...), is actually named after Mount Olympus, home to the twelve principal gods in Greek mythology (huh?). The bag is available at LV boutique at Salhiya Complex and is being sold for KD 540. Bag's features include: zippered closure, internal patch pocket and mobile phone compartment (practical but not creative), tonal monogram embroidery, can be hand-held or carried on the shoulder, plaited leather handle, engraved nameplate in front corner, and leather ruffle trim along top.

Why do I hate this bag so much? It's color is sooo washed out that it would break any fabulous look. It's over-priced for a bag that will only be worn for a season max! The hobo shape of the bag makes it unpractical to wear with fall's structured trends and dark colors. And I think these reasons are enough for me to move a long and write another post....

I think I just ended the post at a high note.. I'll leave it like that.

The bag cost me 1260 GBP which is equivalent to 750 KD. I am sure you are talking about the small or medium size !

I'm not sure if it was the small or the medium size as I only saw one at the store and assumed that it comes in one size... Is your bag the same color?

My #1 reason for not liking it is because of it's color.

Dear Confashion, my bag color is the same as the one worn by Jessica Simpson, I bought it from UK late May. In recent visit to Salhiya, I saw the color you posted and even darker. Regards

Maybe your bag is bigger in size that's why it's more expensive or maybe different type of leather?

if that's your bag then no wonder it's more expensive than the one I featured in the post. It's bigger in size and different in style :) I like the one you have more..

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
