But Don’t Take My Manolo's...

In season 3 of Sex and the City, the great Carrie Bradshaw has a misfortune of being mugged, and I can never forget her hilarious quote in that scene when she said “You can take my Fendi baguette; you can take my ring and my watch, but don’t take my Manolo Blahniks”. I hear ya! I wouldn't want to loose any of my cherished shoes, especially if they're special, unique, and designed by Manolo! Many of my friends stopped buying from Manolo Blahnik. They think that the brand is not fashionable anymore or outdated. I keep telling them, you don't know what you're missing out on! I love the fact that Manolo Blahnik doesn't follow fashion trends. I spotted this brightly-colored pair at Harvey Nichols Dubai a few weeks ago, and I just couldn't get over the beauty of their clashing colors and the feminine ruffle detail. I would have bought them instantly, but I had other fall shopping priorities  plus I think they're more fit for warmer weather.

So what do you think? Are Manolo Blahnik's in or out?

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
