Playing Dress Up with POCA & POCA

The lovely team behind POCA & POCA were kind enough to send me two pieces from their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, one of which was the golden pretty peplum top which was featured on my blog as part of POCA & POCA giveaway, previous post here. And the other piece was a pair of soft half velvet half suede two-tone blue pants.

It was fun trying to incorporate the pieces into my wardrobe. First I paired the peplum top with my J.W. Anderson for Topshop paisley print quilted skirt and my trio bag from Céline, as shown in the photo above, and I completed the look with my Miu Miu velvet flats.

For the second look shown below, I wore the POCA & POCA blue pants with my bordeaux colored cashmere knitted top from COS, a pair of Kylie western suede shoes by Isabel Marant , and my oversized snakeskin Marni clutch. I had to roll-up the pants because they were kind of long on me, and I liked how they ended up looking relaxed and chic at the same time.

In the last look, I chose to pair my peplum top with a pair of Chloé wool-jersey cropped pants (in luv with the centre-front hem slit! Adds such a character to a basic black pair of pants!), my Nicholas Kirkwood heels (similar here), a wool necklace which I bought from the Arasta Bazaar in Istanbul earlier this year, and my faithful Chanel Baluchon bag.

POCA & POCA is a young and hip Polish brand established by founder and creative designer Karolina Gniewek. The brand is known to create feminine silhouettes perfect for everyday elegance. To get their latest updates, follow POCA & POCA on facebook here.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
