Moda Operandi Launches In-Season Shopping on 7th December

Now you can officially make some room in your browser's "Favourites" tab to squeeze in Moda Operandi in between your must-visit-daily online shopping boutiques. The designer trunk show e-tailer Moda Operandi is launching an in-season shopping on December 7th, which means, in addition to pre-ordering items straight from the runway, you will have the opportunity to buy in-season items online and have them delivered to you immediately.

The site, launched in February 2011 by founders Aslaug Magnúsdóttir and Lauren Santo Domingo, is introducing its foray into immediate deliveries with a series of holiday gift shops that go live today. The full launch of the initiative will come Dec. 7 when a redesign of the site is also introduced.

Moda Operandi will unveil seven different themed gift shops over the next week, selling merchandise from brands like J.Mendel, Loewe, Nancy Gonzalez, Eddie Borgo, Peter Pilotto and Alexandra von Furstenberg. Next month, the full in-season rollout will include about 50 brands for resort — including Marc Jacobs, Marni, Valentino, Giambattista Valli, Charlotte Olympia, Nicholas Kirkwood, Peter Som, Prabal Gurung, Marchesa and Thakoon — with the vendor matrix tripling for spring.

And speaking of Moda Operandi, I received the other day the favor which was distributed to guests during MO team's second visit to Kuwait where they presented Ostwald Helgason S/S 2013 collection, along with a selection of one-of-a-kind vintage Hermes bags from Heritage Auctions. The favor was basically a fancy box of gourmet chocolates with a gift voucher attached to it. Just in time for my planned extensive in-season shopping which will kick start this December. You can shop the site here.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
