What You Need to Know About Harvey Nichols Kuwait

So by now we all know that Harvey Nichols will open in Kuwait very very soon in the new Avenues Phase III section. Kuwait’s first-ever international luxury department store is managed and operated by M.H. Alshaya Co.

I met up with the Harvey Nichols team recently and here is some insider scoop to increase our fashion suspense and keep us on our toes until the opening! Did you know that the 10,000 m2 (107,000 ft2) store will spread on two floors? That's almost double the size of Debenhams in Phase I.

Get ready to max out your credit cards ladies and gents, coz Harvey Nichols Kuwait will cover an entire spectrum of premium international brands from fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. They'll be stocking close to 500 luxury brands ranging from classic styles to new, avant-garde pieces from emerging and edgy designers. Think Vivienne Westwood, Isabel Marant, Zagliani, Cambridge Satchel, Nancy Gonzalez, and Maison du Posh

Expect to find exclusive ranges, especially designed and commissioned for Harvey Nichols Kuwait, such as by Carlos Miele for Harvey Nichols Kuwait. You will also have an extensive collection of denim brands like J Brand. And for men you'll have Balenciaga, Lanvin and Kenzo.

The selection of shoes will be unrivaled: covering a 200 square meter space for women, the most glamorous pairs from Rupert Sanderson, Brian Atwood and Jeffrey Campbell.

And to top it all off, they will also be launching new luxury dining concept, Veranda, which will take upscale dining in Kuwait to a new level never seen before.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. Have you read it? If yes, what do you think of it?

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
