LFW: Fiona Paxton

You might be familiar with the name Fiona Paxton. Her designs are stocked in a lot of retailers such as Goji Boutique, Henri Bendel NYC, Harvey Nichols Dubai, Depeche Mode Beirut, Per Lei Couture Doha and more.

I saw her work during London Fashion Week and her multi-layer effect golden necklace from her S/S 2013 collection (shown in the first photo) caught my attention. It would look lovely paired with a caftan or an-all-black ensemble. Her other necklace (shown second here), called the Yasuko necklace, is from her S/S 2012 collection. The colors and the use of different textures, that cute little fluorescent plexi thing, just summed up last summer's trends. I'd wear it for any Summer for that matter.

After completing her training at the Royal College of Art in Textile Design, Fiona Paxton has designed prints and embroideries for a several of fashion brands including Michiko Koshino, Chloe, Armani and Whistles. She then moved on to launch her own line of distinctive hand beaded and embroidered accessories.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
