Events: Walkin Closet Celebrates its 2nd Anniversary

Walkin Closet, one of Kuwait's nicely curated boutiques with an assortment of all things cute and casual chic, celebrated its 2nd Anniversary last night. And in celebration of the boutique’s anniversary, Walkin Closet unveiled Lady Fozaza's latest design called the Double Trouble Blazers. Those who love the cult peaked-shoulder blazers would love this collection. The guest of honor was none other than the lovely Alanoud Badr aka Lady Fozaza, who looked flawless dressed in a pretty neon pink dress, the dress beautifully complimented her neon well-cut blazer and her sun-kissed skin.

I was greeted by the lovely owners of Walkin Closet Laden Al Abdulrazzaq and Sara Dashti, who did an excellent job in organizing the event and decorating the boutique. And of course the event was packed with stylish people, and I also bumped into some old high-school friends whom I haven't seen for ages, which was one of the highlight of my evening. And last night while chatting with one of the guests, we realized how this year retail events in Kuwait have started to take a whole new interesting level. People dressing up, socializing, mingling... It really reminded me of events I attended a couple of years back in Dubai and Doha  here, here, here, and here.

Anyhow, back to Walkin Closet, they are also offering 1 lucky winner a special prize made only for the occasion. Simply follow them on twitter @Walkinclosetq8, and tweet the following: Happy 2nd anniversary @walkinclosetq8. The offer ends tonight. Now scroll down for some highlights of the evening...

Walkin Closet is located at Burj Jassim in Kuwait City opposite to Discovery Mall.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Amazing Alia

Several months ago I posted about Alia Designs , a Kuwaiti talented designer of traditional clothes and dresses. Back then, I liked one of the items featured on her website. This time I'm going ga-ga over her latest Ramadan collection of Kaftans and darraa'at! Especially the one shown here on the first picture. Looks very young, comfortable, and oh-so-perfect for after futoor! For inquiries please visit the website or call (+965) 642-7400.
