What's Cooking at My-Wardrobe.com this season?

Another new season and another fantastic new brands to look forward to. The buying team of  My-wardrobe.com gave me a genuine insider’s view of next season's trends, what they’ve bought, and what new brands to expect to see on  My-wardrobe.com.

So what will be in stock? Cool uber-chic brands of course with their unique everyday luxury’ stamp. That means super fun trophy knits, sculptured silhouettes, bags you want to carry and accessories you want to wear – everyday.

All the brands you see here has been handpicked by the buyers themselves creating an edit of what they truly believe are the brands to keep an eye on. Allow me to share with you just a few of the brands I'm so looking forward to this new season and the hottest new discoveries on the horizon.

Let's start with MSGM, shown on the first photo, hands down, this A/W 2012 MSGM introduced their BEST. DESIGNS. EVER. Those cute full poofy skirts, those floral prints, and that clashing of prints in one outfit. What's not to love?! You can view them all here.

Raoul is a rising international label that offers accessible luxury and elegant pieces which will easily take you from day to night.

I've always had a soft spot for Australian brands, remember my post here? Trust me, Francis Leon Studios will take your breath away!

Let's do the MATH. Now that's the kind of MATH I'd gladly study for. The London-based designer Shahzad Mohayudin, introduced bold, contemporary uber-chic dressing with a dash of luxe. Expect to see this brand on  My-wardrobe.com in August 2012.

There is something about the stones and crystals used on Dara ettinGer's accessories that make me want to buy the entire collection. Can't wait to see which items will hit My-wardrobe.com's platform.
Faith Connexion, this new french luxury contemporary brand has all the ingredients of the Parisian effortless chic in its DNA.

So first she started with handbags and now I think this is Sophie Hulme first endeavor into designing ready-to-wear. So far I like what I'm seeing.

10 Crosby By Derek Lam, Sure it's sold at AlOthman and Shopbop.com to name a few, but the great pieces always sell out with a blink of an eye! So it's nice to have another stockist as an option.

OK Aila bags is not a new brand, especially for readers from our region. However it felt good to hear My-wardrobe.com's buyer refer to it as "the spectacular new Kuwaiti brand". Kudos to that!

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
