Classy Chloé

Chloé is one of those few brands which stands the test of time with grace. I bought 3 or 4 pieces from Chloé throughout my shopping years and I wore them for seasons (sometimes years!) later. Take for example that mini Chloé clutch I instagramed about last week (@confashions). I bought it back in 2000, one of my first net-a-porter purchases I must add, and last week I chose it over my other recently-purchased clutches for a formal event and I swear it looked brand new, of course with a little TLC. So classy and elegant.

On the subject of did you know that in 1966, Karl Lagerfeld was the brand's head designer, and under his direction Chloé became one of the most iconic fashion brands of the 1970's (source).

Anyhow, check out some of the gorgeous pieces I spotted at the brand's boutique in Al Thurraya Mall in Salmiya. And nope, they're not on sale.

Cute slightly oversized clutch...

I'm in love with Chloé two-tone accordion pleats for S/S 2012. They look so pretty when moving. Chloé's boutique at AL Thurraya Mall only received two pieces of this style. One is a flowy dress and the second is a top just like the one shown in the above runway photo (taken from style.com) but in green (shown below).

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
