New on Dear Confashion

New businesses and announcements have been added to Dear Confashion page. Click here to find out the latest. Featured photo is by Kuwait-based online shop Local Tees. I've been dying to get this "Jealous much" t-shirt,  designed by Jassim Al Saddah for ages and now it's already sold out! Bummer!

Update: I noticed that some readers were offended by this photo. I personally didn't get the idea behind it at first, so I asked a friend to clarify and it was then explained to me that it's a parody of a young girl showing off her diamond engagement ring  to a group of what supposed to look like very old unmarried ladies. The guy is holding the ring and pretending like he's proposing. I didn't notice that at first so I took a closer look and I now grasped the idea behind it.

I can see why people can easily misinterpret the image as the engagement ring/box hardly show. Plus they could have used a mix of old ladies one with veil and one without. I don't think it was intended to offend anyone. Maybe someone from Local Tees can comment on this?

Honestly I didn't get the concept of yje ad/photo myself or what was it trying to hint it. I'm only interested in the t-shirt which I liked so much.

aha! so it shows the one who is covered will never get married only those who wear jeans like her are going to get married, this is a really silly photo!
in my openion a photo is considered to be poor one if the viewers do not get it !!

so i think with full of respect (it is just my professional opinion) it is poor one !! because i had to read your explaination to understand they want to ad what ?

second the idea is a bet disrespectfull to our culture .. i mean we must respect those covered ladies because they are Muslims and they are following their believes of eslam.

third i think it is inappropiate pausing too. the photographer should care about the shirts to show not the proposal !!! and the old lady shouldn't feature her hand like that i( thought she wants money )!! and the ring is not even seen in the photo !!

it is all about pausing, and phtography

my respect to local tees

Saks In Bahrain

I went to Saks Fifth Avenue store in Bahrain. The two-level store is located in City Centre Mall and has a collection of American and international clothes designers for Men and Women as well as jewelry, accessories, handbags, fragrances, cosmetics, intimate apparel, bridal, and children's apparel. However, I was slightly disappointed by the small selection, maybe because all items were on sale? Or the number and variety of brands were limited? Anyhow, my favourite section at Saks - Bahrain was Saks's world-famous 10022-SHOE salon (shown in the photo below). It had the same look & feel of the NY's shoe salon but of course not the same space. The Shoe Salon had really nice selection and they were all on sale! I have been told by Saks Sales Assistant that they will be hosting numerous special events throughout the year such as fashion shows and personal appearances by designers. Now that's something I'd be interested in! In addition, they currently offer in-st
