What's New at the Avenue?

New to me at least! I'm not sure when these boutiques opened in the Avenues Phase II, could be 2 months ago, but I thought of sharing them here anyways.  Let's start with DIVA boutique, a visit to DIVA is like hanging out in one of LA's most casual chic boutiques.  DIVA carries great feminine and practical lines such as joie, Rebecca Taylor, and the famous bloch banana flats in pop colors like yellow and green.  What I loved about the boutique is that the lines they carry have certain mix of qualities we kind of miss in the Kuwaiti market: wearability, quality of fabric/tailoring, and most of all price-friendly.  Below are some of the cute things they have in-store.

And a few steps away from DIVA, there is this new boutique called Lie Sang Bong Paris. If you're a fan of dresses with quirky architectural silhouette, then this store might appeal to you.  I picked two of my best finds in this season's "it" color palette, nude and blush pink, shown below.

And last but not least, La Mode Zone is another multi-brand boutique which carries day and evening wear. One brand that caught my interest which they carried was by German designer  Bernhard Willhelm, there were beautifully tailored and colorful pieces perfect for our long summer days and nights. Also, I spotted the below dress by Ana Sekularac which looked very familiar. AHA! Leona Lewis was wearing the exact same dress but in white for her Marie Claire UK photo shoot.  Not crazy about this piece, Bernhard Willhelm definitely rocked the store they also had some really nice colorful flats and gladiators

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. Have you read it? If yes, what do you think of it?

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
