Toni & Guy in Kuwait

Did anyone try the new Toni & Guy salon which opened yesterday at Al Cornich Club? Or planning to?  I'm interested to find out if the Kuwaiti branch is as good as the ones abroad.  I'm still on the look out for someone who knows how to dye and blow dry my hair properly.

i tried dying my hair with them before... not a good experience, took forever to dye and afterwards it came waaaaaaaaaaay off what i wanted... next day i made another appointment else where and got my hair dyed properly

if u want to dye ur hair to look natural and not really dyed it is the place to go, i mean it will enhance ur hair color but not major color changes...

I just saw on soho's facebook that they have a new range of ammonia free colours from L'OREAL. There is a French stylist Emilie, you should consider trying her. I also heard there is a French girl at Toni and Guy who is good, think her name is Sophie.

Am trying it out this Saturday. Going for color, cut, and style.
Will keep you posted ;)

Emilie is great, she actually 'listens' to what I want.
A friend of mine had her hair cut by a girl at the Toni and Guy branch in Shaab. It looked great in the salon but later discovered it was a complete disaster!

I've tried them out. Sophie was alright with the color but really crap with the cutting. Problem is she's quite moody and they never start your appointment on time, I always end up sitting around for a long time, it gets quite irritating. Plus she's very opinionated so you don't always end up getting what you wanted (and SAY you want).

I hear there are 2 Turkish ladies at that salon in the behbehani houses.. Cleo. One lady is known for color the other is known for hair cutting. I'm going pretty soon for a hair cut so I'll repost on how that went.

Hi!i used to fly out of Kuwait to have my hair done at T&G. The new branch in Corniche is the real stuff. They offer the same quality of services like in Europe( Paris,London). I may say i had some doubts the first time i scheduled an appointment, but they are great. I have my haircut with Jenna and colour with Emma. They are both amazing!! Everybody keeps complementing me on my hair style. I've gone already for about 6 times in the last...oh well, in the last 6 months:). It's great having them over here. I don't have to wait for the next vacation to have my haircut anymore!!

Hi anonymous left on the 25.312 I work for Toni and guy al corniche and I can assure you there are no security cameras inside the salon, there is a camera in the reception area for obvious reason we have cloud 9 and ghd irons on display a lot of products and a till. I can assure you, you are not being filmed whilst having your hair done.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
