Event: The Reveal of Brown Booteek

Now here's an excuse (not that you need one!) to shop and mingle with your girlfriends and have some November cup cakes too! Brown Booteek will be hosting a special shopping event to reveal their new and improved look. 15 new collections will be shown at the event AND they will be offering 10% discount on almost all items.

Joining the event is the finely-made and unbelievably budget-friendly regional handbag brand Aila collection where the latest Fall handbags and clutches will be showcased. The prices for the genuine python collection will range from KD 140 to KD 320. As for the plain leather, the prices will range from KD 45 to KD 99.

Also Deena's collection will be joining the event and will feature modish, chic and edgy pieces such as chunky sequin blazers, embellished jumpsuits, and girly colorful cocktail dresses at irresistible prices.

The event will take place on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday October 24-26, 2009 from 10:00am to 9:00pm. Brown Booteek is located at Tala Center, Basement. Salmiya. Between Leila Gallery and Mariam Complex. Find out more about the event here.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
