The Fashionable Zip Code

Don't be fooled into thinking that Saks Fifth Avenue is just another boring huge department store badly affected by the recession. Contrary to its online portal, Saks has a truly fascinating clothes collection providing a huge range of high quality goods by the biggest and the newest designers around. Saks was probably the only place in NYC where I found almost the entire Fall collection of Doo.ri, Erdem, and Marios Schwab. Not just few a few pieces here and there. Anyhow, take a look at their eye-catching window displays.

Of course, I wouldn't leave Saks without passing by its Shoe Salon 10022-SHOE. A Shoe salon sooo big that it has it's own zip code and postal stamps.Yes it is so big and fancy but for some reason it did not impress me that much.

Saks NYC is indeed and has always been impressive...

But Saks international (Riyadh, Dubai, Jeddah, and soon Kuwait I think) has tarnished that, not living-up to standards!

especially this year with the recession and all, I think SAKS has worked really hard to present it self as THE shopping destination for the uber-chic!

yes I agree.... their shoes are not all that. I find Neiman Marcus exclusive collections are way more desirable.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
