Event: Essa's Trunk Show At Villa Moda

On the subject of Essa, last Friday Villa Moda held a trunk show for the brand previewing their clients with a celebration of a collection based on the holy month of Ramadan. It was a private event for VIP ladies only. The accessories used in the event are from the brands carried at Villa Moda. The Essa's pieces are now on display for the public. Here's a sneak peak of the event.

It wasn't for "VIP ladies only"...
anyone who shopped at Villa Moda within the past week received an invitation!
They were giving it out left and right :)

The trunk show looked nice, the store looks great actually.

But aesthetically, Essa has a lot to prove.
Another Middle Easter designer who cannot think outside the box. But hey, there are many clients in the Middle East who appreciate it. So good for him in that respect.

But I do get offended when a Middle Eastern designer is only thought of as good or credible because they're only compared to other Middle Eastern designer and not the rest of the world. And let me remind those people, that the Middle East is part of THE WORLD.

Well, I think who shops in Villa Moda is a VIP. What do you think?!?!?!

I totally agree with AZM, Middle Eastern designers should be compared with international designers, not only fellow Middle Easterners. But I still think that Essa is innovative and creative. His designs being sold in such a prestigious department store like Villa Moda, partly proves that he is good.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Amazing Alia

Several months ago I posted about Alia Designs , a Kuwaiti talented designer of traditional clothes and dresses. Back then, I liked one of the items featured on her website. This time I'm going ga-ga over her latest Ramadan collection of Kaftans and darraa'at! Especially the one shown here on the first picture. Looks very young, comfortable, and oh-so-perfect for after futoor! For inquiries please visit the website or call (+965) 642-7400.
