A-Muse Me - Part II

  1. Balmain Cocktail dress

  2. Bill Blass ruffled top

  3. Halston's day-to-night dress

  4. Devi Kroell oxfords

And that's only the beginning of my soon to be mile-long to-buy list from AlOthman, thanks to their latest edition of MUSE, your Fall/Winter guide of what will be available in store. The handbag friendly fashion catalogue, features the season's trends and key looks, a list of all designers AlOthman represents, some very "a-MUSE-ing" quotes by the designers sharing their inspiration behind their latest collections, and best of all, dainty post-it stickers saying "I love it" or "I want it" to easily mark your selections throughout the pages of MUSE in case, god forbid, you forgot an item.

Now if you'll excuse me, got some fashionable reading to continue here...

Do any of the local biggies- AL Ostoura, Al Othman and Villa Moda do gift vouchers for the festive season? I tell you it would be mighty handy doling these out to cousins, nieces and nephews as eidiyahs rather than to go out shopping for them.

I don't think so. I have done the calculation a couple of times with same item in 2 different online shopping sites, and bcause of the currency exchange, shipping charges, and sometimes taxes, they do become more expensive than buying them here from Kuwait. And that's only my personal opinion.

Yes I sometimes do. And honestly? It all depends on the exhibition, sometimes it's very professionally done and sometimes u think "What the hell were they thinking?!" :)

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Marie Claire Kuwait

Did you know that Marie Claire, an international women's magazine, has been launched in Kuwait and their second issue is already in newsstands? Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. The magazine offers an editorial mix of journalism with glamour, fashion and beauty coverage, and feature stories of lifestyle and serious women related issues. All by an Arabic editorial team. Have you read it? If yes, what do you think of it?

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
