And the Award Goes To...

So you all have probably seen the red carpet arrivals for 2008 Prime time Emmy Awards. The gowns selection were rather disappointing. However I did like Mariska Hargitay yellow Grecian style asymmetrical Carolina Herrera gown and Olivia Wilde's romantic silk chiffon Reem Acra gown.

my firend has the dress of Reem Acra and she bought it from Al-Othman shop she wore it for a wedding here in kuwait..and it looked really nice on her too

And America Ferrera looked nice as well. Not sure if it was because of Werle outfit or because it's just nice to see her out of the Ugly Betty uniform...

The reem Acra one was of Spring 2008 and I was surprised to see it on the red carpet, I thought it was too old. I called Othman today and asked them about thier oldest collection and they said that number was sold out. The current collection at al othman is so and so...but I've always liked the older ones, and I keep wondering if they keep them in thier stock or send them back or if its available else where? You know what, while we're at it, anyone remember the Naeem Khan yellow one shoulder indie style gown? It was to die for. seriously, its old season, but if someone is selling now I would buy it full price.

Both dresses were my fav's, plus I lied Marchesa bow dress 3ala Eva Longoria. It looks cute-ly weird. for makeuppp, America Ferera Red pout was a winnerrr.

Mariska hARGITAY was the most beautiful Emmy LOOK OF 2008. Eva Longoria AHEI very ugly. The dress looks very short. I do not like.

You can find reem acra at Alothmanlocated at Mariam Complex in Salmiya. I'm not sure about the prices though...

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
