Dear Confashion: How do I wear High-Waisted Jeans?

Yara: How do I wear High-Waisted Jeans?

A: This season everyone want to Channel their inner Modern Katherine Hepburn with the high-waisted trend. It’s all about proportions daaahling. it's actually very flattering to wear wide high-waisted pants to make the most of an hourglass figure. Just make sure to tuck a fitted t-shirt and a vest or a fitted romantic top (with frills if you like) to balance the look. If you feel it’s too cold outside, then complete the look with a cropped swing jacket or a capelet and high heeled patent platforms.

If you want to try the skinny high-waist look, then expect a lot of green envy from your peers and mall on-lookers as it’s tough to pull off this style and you need the have right curves honey (but not too much of them). Pair the skinny high-waisted jeans or pants with a loose tucked top and flats. Wear suspenders if you want to look daring.

How would you wear your high-waisted pants/skirts?

I think wearing a High-waist pants/jeans give the illusion of a flat tummy. But you can hide your tummy with a wide belt if the style of the pants allow to. Choose one that is made out of soft leather. Oh! and don't forget to wear Mid-hip Corset. Not only hides your tummy buy it also helps to camouflage VPLs.

She hasn't been looking good lately. :|

If the pants are wide, I think they'd help hip-py ladies hide their least fave areas..

Sorry, I'm not an expert in male fashion.

Agreed that this pic actually caused quite a hysteria in terms of "not a good style" for mischa. I agree that they should be worn if you have a flat tummy as they can elongate your figure..
but isnt it all about baggy/relaxed jeans now?
alexander wang, etc?

she isnt wearing them right. high waisted jeans with a cute plain shirt, or a cute ruffled shirt tucked in, with high pumps, cute simple round toe flats, or nice boots, is the way to wear them. That t-shirt just makes the whole outfit look messy. make sure the shirt is fitted, that way it shows your shape good...(esp if your wearing wide leg)
I have worn my skinny jean high waisted pants with a plain white fitted, tee, with a mid uper arm fitted sleeve. I paired that with a high black pump and black leg warmers the other day, and it came out adorable.
you have to just wear them right, other wise you would look like that micha picture.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
