Villa Moda Al Manshar is Close to Reality

Villa Moda's official group on Facebook has invited its members to submit questions for the first live video interview with the team behind the concept for their 4th location in Kuwait: Villa Moda, Al Manshar (Madinat Al-Fahaheel, Kuwait) which is due to open at the beginning of 2008 with the unique concept brought by Sybarite UK. Here are some sketches of the concept which was displayed by Villa Moda's group. Click on the images for a larger view:

The concept of Villa Moda Al Manshar, carried out by Sybarite, is an architectural and design practice that aims to tease all of the human senses and to sculpt architecture into the living environment in which it exists, whilst retaining complete functionality.

Sybarite UK are already responsible for stores such as, Marni (Milan), Joseph (London), Junko Shimada (Tokyo / Paris) and now Villa Moda (Al Manshar - Kuwait).

A selection of 15 final questions shall be chosen for the interview. The deadline for sumitting the questions on facebook is 20th November 2007.

I assure them of my custom provided they offer me a free chopper ride from a convenient nodal to Al Manshar and back.

Spare me the ordeal of signing up on Facebook. You can forward to them my question for what it's worth.

Haute couture pour homme in Kuwait is in the dumps today. What can Villa Moda do, in coming years, to shake up things in this department to make fashion more men friendly?

First of all thank you 'Confashion' for helping push the PR of the group.

Bashar, thank you.

Goda zayaani, kindly noted.

61 year old virgin, no need to sign up for the full use of facebook, it can purely be for the group or if you send us your email we can store you on our soon to be monthly newsletters.

Your question is a good one and my shortest response would be to look out for the unique and villa moda commissioning of the traditional 'dishdashas' designed by TOM FORD.

Thanks again all.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
