The K Tote Scores an F

Canvas bags have never been as significant as they are this season. In an effort to top off the Anya Hindmarch’s “I’m not a plastic bag” bag hype, TopShop’s collaborated collection with Kate Moss has resulted in the production of Miss Moss Signature K tote canvas bag as shown in the photo below.

Yes, I can feel the excitement within your deadly silence too. I know you just can’t contain yourself either. What is this!? It's more like the work of 6th grade mediocre student in an Arts & Crafts class. It's too small to be used as a beach bag and it's un-supportive shape and unpractical color makes it impossible to use as a day bag. However, it can be used as a travel laundry bag (for your 2 years old sis/bro). But who would want to pay KD 5 for a travel laundry bag the size of a Doritos bag. Not me that's for sure.

On a different note, is it just me or did you notice how TopShop's quality and variety of clothes dwindled ever since they moved to the Avenues? What went wrong?! Why was the old TopShop more fun and had better collection than the new one?

That is so true! I keep saying the same thing and I stopped even going to Top Shop after my few visits to their avenues shop resulted in utter disappointment

just me
I know! I used to leave the old TopShop with 2 huge shopping bags in my hand. Now I barely buy a thing.. and the last few times I've been to the new one, I ended up buying "what-was-I-thinking" kind of stuff.

Totally agree! Most of the stuff there has been on display for such a long time. Even the accessories section, which used to be the cutest, is disappointing now. They really need to get their act together!

And get a bigger space! I don't like how narrow the shop is!

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
