Mother of Pearl

I'm currently preparing for my new home, so a lot of home-improvement projects are going on, which means I'm more shopping for my home nowadays than for my wardrobe. I spotted this beautiful mother of pearl chest of drawers in bright pink at Safat Home in Shuwaikh the other day. I love mother-of-pearl! It's just so appealing, on buttons, compacts, home accessories, clothes, just about anything made from mother of pearl!

The mother-of-pearl details on this table have been hand inlaid by skilled craftsmen to achieve that unique piece of furniture. It would be perfect used as a console in the hallway maybe? The only drawback? The drawers are not very smooth when pulled, which kind of makes it feel.. dare I say... cheap? I guess I'll keep it on my wish list for now.  Price tag? KD 495.
