Ready to Hit the Beach

I grew up in a place where people rarely ever wore hats. They didn't need to. Men are usually in either the traditional headwear or wearing a baseball cap. And women wear either hijab or not. So how come we don't embrace the fashion of hats in all shapes and sizes? I think most women in Kuwait dislike to be stared at in weird way just because they're wearing a hat. Of course it's normal to wear a beach hat for the beach to protect themselves from the sun, but wearing one to go, let's say shopping? That's something that is abnormal in Kuwait. It's not considered wrong nor right, just plain weird. You know what? Maybe I'll wear one tomorrow for work? Must snap that when I do!

Anyhow, I found these really cool straw hats at Harvey Nichols Kuwait that will have you looking effortlessly chic this summer. I loved Eugenia Kim's "Do Not Disturb" sequin script wide brim hat! The exact sentiments felt lounging on the beach or poolside. You can find it online here. I also liked the 20's inspired lace boater hat in the first photo above by an Italian brand called Super Duper. You'll find so many creative and unique pieces by this brand here.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
