Last Saturday I met up with Claire of Charles Oudin, a brand of a prestigious parisian jewelry watches. I first met Claire during my visit to Jewellery Arabia Show in Bahrain last November, previous post here. Dana of the Overdressed introduced me to Claire and the brand Charles Oudin, which I fell in love with. Claire was in town visiting a friend, and she got in touch with me too to meet up. I thought it was a great opportunity to show her around old Kuwait city since she's never been here before, and get to know more about the brand.
I came to know that Charles Oudin was a talented watch maker from the early 19th century. Today’s Charles Oudin brand is about celebrating traditional and delicate forms. The timeless and ageless feminine look of Charles Oudin's wrist watches make them desirable by people who appreciate luxury watches. They come in various styles, the rectangular case is slightly curved to fit over a lady’s wrist, and was specially designed to be fully gem-set. The watches are all in precious materials such as 18k gold (white, yellow, and rose), and also white diamonds and pearls. Luckily for me, Claire had some samples of some of their best sellers with her when I met her in Mubarakiya for lunch. I have to say the one with white diamonds and pearls looked absolutely stunning, and I loved how it matches my pearl jeans which I wore that day by coincidence.
