Charles Oudin Luxury Watches

Last Saturday I met up with Claire of Charles Oudin, a brand of a prestigious parisian jewelry watches. I first met Claire during my visit to Jewellery Arabia Show in Bahrain last November, previous post here. Dana of the Overdressed introduced me to Claire and the brand Charles Oudin, which I fell in love with. Claire was in town visiting a friend, and she got in touch with me too to meet up. I thought it was a great opportunity to show her around old Kuwait city since she's never been here before, and get to know more about the brand.

I came to know that Charles Oudin was a talented watch maker from the early 19th century. Today’s Charles Oudin brand is about celebrating traditional and delicate forms. The timeless and ageless feminine look of Charles Oudin's wrist watches make them desirable by people who appreciate luxury watches. They come in various styles, the rectangular case is slightly curved to fit over a lady’s wrist, and was specially designed to be fully gem-set. The watches are all in precious materials such as 18k gold (white, yellow, and rose), and also white diamonds and pearls. Luckily for me, Claire had some samples of some of their best sellers with her when I met her in Mubarakiya for lunch. I have to say the one with white diamonds and pearls looked absolutely stunning, and I loved how it matches my pearl jeans which I wore that day by coincidence. Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in Miu Miu Boutiques throughout our region.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit. After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the Altuzarra sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away. Which pair would you go for?
