The Bathurst Bag

Although I'm not too crazy about the enamel lock featuring a lucky clover on this structured alligator leather Bathurst bag by Anya Hindmarch, I must admit, this shade of emerald green is making me weak in the knees. How gorgeous would it be to contrast this bold color with a graphic outfit?

Apparently the expertly crafted Bathurst bag is named after the 1st Baron Bathurst, a renowned 18th Century British politician, and the enamel lock is a reminiscent of the cameo miniatures of the period. I think the bag would have had the right effect if the clover was replaced with something more gothic or dramatic, or maybe even with a precious stone? No? Nice try? Well that's why I ain't no designer....

Oh well, the Bathurst bag by Anya Hindmarch is currently stocked at Harvey Nichols Kuwait.
