Oh La La!

No one does quirky cool shoes in a classy way quite like Charlotte Olympia . Her Ooh La La! crochet-detailed linen-canvas flats are a heart-warming addition to my wardrobe. Again I got side-tracked from my main shopping objective, i.e. finding a nice pair of sandals, but can you blame me??!

Parfumerie d’Exception

The other day we were walking around AlHamra Mall, when we came across a fragrance and beauty boutique called Parfumerie d’Exception . The hard to pronounce boutique is a new fragrance concept  store launched by Beidoun Trading Company . I was quite impressed by the elegant interior and the selection in-store. According to the salesperson, the boutique combines 24 of the world’s top niche fragrance brands, all new to Kuwait and all exclusive to Parfumerie d’Exception . Although I should be highlighting my favorite perfume, what really caught my attention is a make-up brand called BECCA , I've heard great reviews about the quality of this brand. For example, while most cosmetic companies offer 3 to 7 concealer colors, the BECCA range features no less than 34 concealer colors and 30 foundation colors, enabling ALL women to achieve a flawless look and finding the right shade, a problem which I have been struggling with on-and-off depending on time of the year. Weird I know! T...

Prada's Python

What a beautiful way to add a pop of colored snake print to your weekend looks! I spotted these Prada flat loafers/slippers at the brand's boutique in the Avenues. And even though I was on the look out for a pair of sandals, I got side tracked by their timeless appeal and color. And most importantly, they make such a comfortable choice for busy days worn with my favorite boyfriend-cut jeans and a tee, or maybe a pair of city shorts to give them a preppy twist.

Total Bliss

I was invited recently to visit Bliss boutique , a women's clothing store that offers up a bohemian blend of casual chic clothes and accessories, ballerina shoes for little girlies, and Hollywood celebrity trends. The interior of the store is very warm and inviting, with its wooden parquet flooring and white/turquoise furniture. Actually, this store’s vibe felt like visiting a good old friend, very relaxed and the customer service is very friendly. The boutique is a reliable stop for quirky cool printed tops, flowing floral dresses, and a colorful variety of designer denim. I actually found a reversible pair of denim pans that gives you two different looks for the price of one! Isn't that cool? And check out their ombrĂ© and tie-dye denim pants, worth trying them out especially if you're looking for something to update your weekend wear. Bliss boutique is located at Burj Jassim, basement shop# 03, and they're open everyday 5:30-10:00pm.

7 Days of Chic

I'm totally in love with these two looks by Bahraini chic blogger The Overdressed , as part of a feature for Dubai-based lifestyle online magazine Savoir Flair's 7 Days of Chic segment. I'm so happy she's back to the blogging scene and to see her sharing her impeccable personal style. The white Marc Jacobs dress and Charlotte Olympia heels are just beyond! Heart!

Grain Boutique

Last night we were invited to the official opening of Grain boutique , an eclectic sartorial sanctuary boasting high-end lines for the self confident and uber-chic girl. The boutique resides in the ever-so-hip mall Burj Jassim, with its polka dots mirror walls, thick carpeted floors, and geometric detailing. It houses some of my favorite hard-to-find brands such as Josh Goot , Ohne Titel , and J W Anderson to name a few. Most of the clothes on display were suitable for formal events like dinners, small parties, or receptions, and the rest were a collection of transeasonal pieces tailored to make design addicts swoon, in addition to fabulous selection of sunglasses and custom jewelry.  You can view more of  Grain boutique 's selection and be first to know their latest updates by following them on instagram @grain_kuwait.

Danielle Romeril A/W 2013

Last season I wrote a post about a new Irish designer called Danielle Romeril ( previous post here ), whom I met at London Fashion Week. And since I didn't get to go to neither LFW nor PFW, the designer was kind enough to drop me a line and show me the new collection. The Autumn/Winter 2013 collection features geometric printed fabrics and laced leather deck fringing, cut out in the shapes of skateboard decks and laced together using the same techniques that are found in Japanese Samurai armour, making the garment comfortably move and flex with the body. Just like her S/S 2013 collection , Danielle Romeril 's new designs have a mix of modern elegance and uber-coolness that mark her out as a name to watch for.

Moda Operandi's La Vie en Rose

Moda Operandi's Spring campaign, titled La Vie en Rose , launched on their site on Friday featuring supermodel Karlie Kloss, who I have been obsessed with her haircut ever since I instagramed it a few weeks ago. I thought I'd share with you the full imagery from MO's campaign since there are countless things to fall in love with. I can only describe this as an explosion of beauty and creativity. Every single element from the outfits to the graphic design to the light to the set to those floral crowns is just beyond. Fabulous! It is worth mentioning that the featured outfits are currently available to purchase on their in-season Boutique .

Urban-Cool with Givenchy

By now we all memorized our fashion lesson by heart. If you want to accent your urban-cool look this season head to Givenchy . The brand continues to reinvent its iconic aesthetic with new elements. The famous shark tooth necklace is no longer ivory white. In fact this season it's covered in leather or silvertone swarovski crystals. If that's to blingy for your taste, go for the turquoise or warm-tone stone-like versions. As for the handbags, this season the brand scored high on my luv list, especially the mini nightingale bag in cobalt blue (shown below). It's so light to carry plus can be carried as a cross-bag which makes it ideal for free-hands shopping and traveling. Another bag I'm eyeing is Givenchy 's Lucrezia mini leather bag in red, pink, and black, the only drawback is that it's quite heavy as is, without even stuffing it with my own junk. This needs a re-visit. Givenchy boutique is located at 360 Mall.

Just Like We Are Handsome...

Spotted this vibrantly colored and printed swimsuit at Marks and Spencer the other day and it reminded me of Australian brand We Are Handsome . Actually, this frugal version offers more support to less-than-perfect figures than the original ones. Now all you need is a a straw sunhat or a fedora, a sarong/caftan, and a cool pair of shades.
