News: Gucci Introduces Exclusive New Jackie Bag & Wallet for Kuwait

Gucci is introducing a limited edition New Jackie bag and matching wallet for Kuwait, exclusively available at the House’s boutiques in 360 Mall and Al Fanar Mall from December 2011. The limited edition New Jackie bag and wallet both feature a “Kuwait Exclusive” metal plaque on the inside lining.

The New Jackie bag is a reinterpretation of a Gucci style dating back to the 1960s. The original model became the preferred accessory for Jacqueline Onassis, who was photographed toting numerous versions. America’s former First Lady was so devoted to the style that the bag soon assumed the moniker ‘The Jackie.’ Functional and versatile, both pieces are treated with water and oil repellents as well as soft resins to ensure durability.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in Miu Miu Boutiques throughout our region.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit. After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the Altuzarra sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away. Which pair would you go for?
