Bag Lady

With all the temptations surrounding us while shopping, how can I possibly settle for one or two or even three bags per season. How many bags do you buy per season? And how many do you actually need?! Tough question that can only be answered and controlled by sticking to a budget (by force not choice in my case!!). And this can be quite difficult to commit to especially with all the variety of bags available in Dubai.. Here are some of the bags I loved while shopping around starting with this hot red shoulder bag courtesy of ChloƩ.

Loved the color combo of this YSL shopping bag
I don't ever recall being in a designer boutique and lusting after at least 6 bags of its collection at the same time! That was the kind of effect CĆ©line had on me when I was shopping around the boutique. Very budget-unfriendly!

Balenciaga's latest design of the classic shopping bag

I'm not sure if I like these Gucci totes... but I loved their color!

1001NIGHTS: I'm loving the coral/orangish color for bags just because it's so stunning when contrasted against white and we end up wearing a lot of white/beige in the summer. SO two bags that I INSIST you include in your list :p One is YSL and the other is Gucci. (I lost faith in Gucci for a while but this is a really good one.) Check them out:

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
