Feeling Vestive

From long and shaggy to short and cropped, nothing does the trick of laid-back luxe and all-out-glam quite like the fur vest. I have spotted different variations of the fur vest and found a couple of options that would appeal to different budgets.

What I love about fur vests is that you can dress it up or down in so many ways. You can pair it with a short floaty floral dress, or silk-boho top with straight or skinny pants, or plain and fitted long jersey dress with a skinny belt tied around your waist to give you some definition.

For a streamlined and simple look, avoid statement accessories as they can be overpowering with fur vests. And make sure you stick to toned down accessories. A pair of platform heels/booties are a must since the bulk of the fur will eat up your height.

Stunning long Hakaan fur vest available at Al Othman Boutique. Price tag? KD 1,839

Black and beige fur vests available at Hoss Boutique in the Avenues Phase II. Price tag? Around KD 60

Joseph's blush pink Mongolian fur available at Harvey Nichols Dubai. And I also spotted it (and a black version) at Al Othman Boutique in Salmiya. Price tag? I think it was around KD 250

There was one that I posted about probably a month ago which I have found at Zara. The BEST camel cape I have ever seen in high street. Not sure if they're still selling it though.

I have also found one a couple of days back at TopShop which looked OK. Not as nice as the Zara one though.

Here's one option: http://www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Contrast-Trim-Cape/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1166716

And also: http://www.shopbop.com/vienna-poncho-tory-burch/vp/v=1/845524441886549.htm?folderID=2534374302151815&fm=other-shopbysize-viewall

Good luck :)

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
