Satins and Soles

I'm probably most inclined to splurge on the highest heels with statment details, but then I'm always dismayed I don't get to wear them all the time. Did that ever stop me from buying more? Nooo. And today I have added one more cobalt blue pair to my wish list. Allow me to introduce you to the newest name in Shoes business, Liam Fahy.  The winner of the first Fashion Fringe accessories has been selected by Colin Mc Dowell and Manolo Blahnik as the protégé of Rupert Sanderson. African born, London based Liam Fahy has spent the past few years refining his design talent in Italy alongside veteran artisans of the luxury trade.

The collection is made of the finest, most expensive satins, pythons and vernice in Italy, whilst the soles are painstakingly hand crafted with individual silver characters as is the signature of Liam Fahy.  The range is inspired by pure elegance with low cut lines and sexy silhouettes whilst the fixtures are constructed in traditional silversmith techniques inspired by 13th century armor and jewellery.  The collection will be produced in a limited edition of only 500 pairs and should be available next year around May through the designer's exclusive e-boutique.

Feels like I saw same designs before. Don't see anything new or creative in them.
Good luck to him

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
