Victoria Beckham... Sold Out Not!

Sold out in Selfridges within hours of launching it, almost sold out on net-a-porter, and now the most sought after collection this season, Victoria Beckham collection , is available at Villa Moda Kuwait. The collection consists of ten structured-in-design dresses inspired by the 1950s glamour. Surprisingly, all the hemlines of the dresses end at least 2 inches below the knee, which I did not expect from VB, mind you, they do fit like a glove but not necessarily flattering to all body shapes.

According to her site, Only 400 examples of the entire collection will be sold worldwide. And you have to watch the movie on her site about the collection. It is actually funny.

Honestly? I wasn't very amused by the collection. They looked nicer on the website than the did in real life. I would only buy one dress (#9) as the cut and design of the dress was the most distinctive one out of the remaining 10.

I love her dresses! The yare sold out on net a porter, atleast the ones i want are. I don't know if they are in Dubai or not, I need to check. The thing is even though they are gorgeous they are way too over priced.

Out of all the countless celebrity fashion lines,
THIS along side Mary-kate & Ashley O's The Row and Elizabeth & James, and Andre 3000's Benjamin Bixby (fantastic for men) are the only ones that are good and worth it.

I this these dresses and gorgeous and timeless, and definitely for the "skinny/fit" body.
Madonna was wearing the black stapless one in her latest steamy photospread on W.

despite never liking VB nor her dress sense, i was pleasantly surprised with her line. but come on, first out and straight next to the big names at selfridges...... i am sorry but the line does not deserve THAT much credit. yes, she loves roland (mouret), yes she is under simon's (fuller) wing but must she really come up with something as structured as RM? personally i just think this is a far cry from who she is trying to be, not to be compared with The Row which does actually represent the girls and they do the brand justice.
oh well oh well

Check out Issa at Al Othman, they have the famous "Lukcy" dress. But maybe it's a bit too casual for graduation. What's ur budget?

wow there is a dress at 300??
the cheapest dress at Net-a-porter is being sold for around 1100 pounds and i think they nearly have the whole collection now theyre all sold out and only have a creme one being sold at 1500 pounds! but 300Kd is a good price compared to the prices of the other pieces in the collection!!
and Heidi Klum wore a black on for i think a victorias secret event its quite flattering on her then again what isnt!! ;)

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
