Prada-ish Zara

Remember my previous post on how Zara replicates luxury brands such as Prada & Marni? Well look what I have found at Zara this week. Prada-like shoes, bag, and a skirt. This is so surreal! The bag & the shoes are sold for KD 29.500 and the skirt costs KD 26.500. A very small price to pay to get the Prada fall look.

Would you feel offended if you find such items at Zara when you have actually paid more than KD500 to get the original Prada bag?

I hate replicas.. but as 4 said, inspired pieces are OK. I see designers borrow from each other so why not! but to buy a replica, I am totally against it! Fake is so lame! and I like to play the "spot the fake" heehee

I agree with what was said earlier. Inspired items are OK. But replicas? That's bad.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
