Chanel-ish at BCBG Arraya

OK, so we all love Coco Chanel and want to be dressed in Chanel from head to toes (hell, I don't even mind settling for a toe only!). But we can't always afford to buy the entire line. I mean I'm willing to spend on a Chanel bag, but not the clothes.*

While shopping around, I have noticed that we don't get to see a lot of Chanel inspired clothes. Bags? Yes and plenty of them, but not the clothes. So I was excited when I saw 2 Chanel inspired pieces at BCBG's store at Arraya Complex. The items are shown below. Oh, and yes, they had some Chanel inspired bags if you're interested. Also I have taken photos of 2 non-inspired Chanel items which I've found very appealing.

Boucle black jacket with 8 golden front buttons and black velvet ribbon detail. KD 118.

Black bubble shaped jacket with tiny front pockets and boucle and golden chain detail. KD 105.

And here are the 2 non-Chanel inspired items which can be worn under jackets and cardigans. the white top shown below is being sold for KD 26.

Black fine knitted top with white bib detail. KD 54.

*Mind you, I'm planning to buy a Chanel suit but only when I'm 50 years old with 5 kids.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Amazing Alia

Several months ago I posted about Alia Designs , a Kuwaiti talented designer of traditional clothes and dresses. Back then, I liked one of the items featured on her website. This time I'm going ga-ga over her latest Ramadan collection of Kaftans and darraa'at! Especially the one shown here on the first picture. Looks very young, comfortable, and oh-so-perfect for after futoor! For inquiries please visit the website or call (+965) 642-7400.
