Pretty Priyanka Pieces

PRIYANKA is the eponymous jewelry label of Indian-born designer Priyanka Lugani. Her collections are a mix of Eastern and Western influences. Her rich Indian heritage is visible in the colour combinations and designs. Priyanka often uses charms on her woven silk-cord bracelets, which represent spiritual happiness, protection, and luck.

I remember I first met the designer over dinner in Bahrain when Dana of theoverdressed.com invited me for the annual jewelry exhibition. Before we got introduced I remember I was mesmerized by the family of statement rings she was wearing. This is the kind of jewelry that can be showcased against casual chic outfits or dressed-up with all-black outfits, worn day or night, and can be easily stacked with your own everyday jewelry. Now as I skim through these images of her collection, I find myself drawn to her head pieces as well, that gold and blue beads head piece with dangling pearl is just TDF and oh-so-perfect for my caftan.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
