Sirdab 6 Ramadan Collection

Ms. Souad J. Al Sabah is one of my go-to local designers whenever I start the hunt for Ramadan's caftan. Since her early stages, her label Sirdab 6 has focused on creating colorful caftans with clashing prints in silhouettes and styles that make women feel comfortable, confident, and chic. I remember once not so long ago we received a message announcing the arrival of Sirdab 6's Ramadan Caftans collection, and we found out later through friends that people were already parking outside the exhibition's location at least 30-45 minutes before the opening hour of the exhibition to beat the crowd... and secure their caftan. My sister, being very prompt, was able to snatch one or two caftans. And me being 20 minutes late, only ended up looking at empty racks. What can I say, I learned my lesson the hard way.

Anyhow, last night I was thrilled when I received an e-mail from Ms. Souad J. Al Sabah informing me of the launch of her revamped website and that her latest Ramadan designs are now featured online. It's exciting to see her work come to life in a form of a lookbook, with accessories and all. Beautiful photos. It is worth mentioning that all fabrics used were printed exclusively for Sirdab 6 Ramadan collection.

Featured here some of my favorite looks. That tribal-inspired caftan is gorgeous! You can view the collection by clicking here. For further inquiries, please send an e-mail to info@sirdab6.com. Sirdab 6 was previously featured on my blog here and here.

Chanel Dubai Cruise 2015 Collection

I can't remember if I shared my views about Chanel's Dubai Cruise 2015 Collection on my blog or not, but I thought I'd share with you some photos of the pieces on display now at Chanel Boutique in Kuwait, Prestige in the Avenues and Salhiya Complex. I wasn't too crazy about the clothes. However, I did like some of the bags which had pompoms and tassels on them, as well as the gigantic pearl clutch. I also loved the Moroccan-inspired pointy flats and the silver jewelry adorned with coins and crescents. Of course the shoes were sold out in my size and I wasn't so crazy about the patterned ones. I LOVED the flap bag with Pom Poms, but it was above my budget. Overall the collection felt more Moroccan than Dubai-an. I wish if they have incorporate more of the our gulf region's culture into the designs. Oh And I added to this post photos of Chanel's milk carton shaped python clutch bag embellished with a CC signature. They're not part of the Dubai colle

Update: I have just been notified by Alothman that there was a slight misunderstanding on the brands carried by Alothman at Bahrain. The list have been updated and corrected as shown above. Sorry guys about that.
