Plastic Fantastic

A day before I traveled, I dropped by Lime Light boutique, located at The Avenues Phase II, in search for the perfect beach shoes. I'm tried of wearing flip-flops, and wanted something more fun and flattering. The last time I have been to Lime Light I remember seeing Brazilian footwear brand Melissa, which is known for its jellylike plastic shoes. Perfecto! They're extremely comfortable, you can get them wet, walk in the sand, they're cute enough to wear with your favorite summer dress, have this nice bubblegum smell, and won't worry about them getting ruined.

I know that Melissa collaborated previously with Vivienne Westwood, but what I didn't know is that the brand also partnered with Jason Wu and Garth Pugh. The results? New styles for those who are looking for elegant or edgy beach/casual chic shoes. Featured here are Wu's and Pugh's designs. And they were priced around KD 35 more or less.

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi .
