Get Poetic with Quatre Filles


Here are some swell ideas for post-valentines or birthday gifts, Quatre Filles have launched some new designs of earrings and necklaces and they were kind enough to share the photos with us.

The new Quatre Filles collection includes "Poetry at its Best" designs, shown in the photo below, as well as some other pieces.


Poetry at its Best costs around KD 32.5 and is made out of silver. Choose from any of the verses shown below, or send them one of your own that you would like designed into a necklace.

Can be ordered in yellow and white gold as well. Necklaces are of material. Colors are fuchsia pink, bright yellow, bright green, and bright orange. Other colors may be provided upon request.

hmm i am finding some of these prices shockingly high even if they are pure gold!

Unfortunately the prices are high because of the increase in Gold. I was shocked myself when they told me. We also have to put in to consideration the cost of labor i.e. the designers and the weight of the piece.

You don't say you haven't heard about Samsaara opening shop in Zahra complex, do you now ?! It's a much talked about boutique that will showcase Indian couturiers under one roof. Now we only need an upscale store stocking on Chinese designers to add to the fashion spark in Q8.
Besides, didn't you know every woman in Q8 and her sister are currently dying for that Satya Paul silk sari to wear under her chador. I have got mine( no, not the chador) - have you got yours? It will be a perfect blend of East meets West; a marriage between a Satya Paul sari and a Hermes head scarf as accoutrement. If only VM had come out with a fusion sari kaftan it would have saved us all from a lot of Sleepless Nights in Q8, mulling over how best to wear a sari under one's chador or with a head scarf on our heads to complete the look.

Saks In Bahrain

I went to Saks Fifth Avenue store in Bahrain. The two-level store is located in City Centre Mall and has a collection of American and international clothes designers for Men and Women as well as jewelry, accessories, handbags, fragrances, cosmetics, intimate apparel, bridal, and children's apparel. However, I was slightly disappointed by the small selection, maybe because all items were on sale? Or the number and variety of brands were limited? Anyhow, my favourite section at Saks - Bahrain was Saks's world-famous 10022-SHOE salon (shown in the photo below). It had the same look & feel of the NY's shoe salon but of course not the same space. The Shoe Salon had really nice selection and they were all on sale! I have been told by Saks Sales Assistant that they will be hosting numerous special events throughout the year such as fashion shows and personal appearances by designers. Event: Villa Moda Movenpick Luxury Sale

The Villa Moda Movenpick Luxury Sale is an event all savvy shoppers and bargain hunters look forward to as it's a chance to get the best deals from the most wanted designer labels. The sale will showcase clothes and accessories from Spring/Summer 2008 collection and some going back to Fall 2007 collection (and even older). Believe me when I tell you there are some real bargains as all items will discounted with a whopping 60% or more. The event will start tomorrow Saturday and will be open to the public 10 AM to 10 PM.
