The EMMY/Confashion Awards 2007

I'm sure most of you have seen snapshots of celebs on the red carpet for the Emmy Awards. Most celebs went for classic, glamorous, and rainbow-color looks. However, I was slightly disappointed. No fireworks for me. I expected to see more fashion-risky celebs donned in the latest fall trends. Fashion-risky as in stylish Chloe Sevigny not the "swan-ish" Bijork kind of fashion-risky.

I guess they'd rather stay safe then be forever remembered as a fashion faux pas. Anyways, Here are my favorite Emmy looks:

The Confashions Award for Best Dressed + Hair + Makeup goes to Heidi Klum. Her red burgundy Christian Dior couture gown is absolutely fabulous. And I luuuuved her hair & red lips.

The Confashions Award for Best Hair goes to Ellen Pompeo. Her poufy modern 50's hair is so refreshing and makes her stand out from the American chingon crowd.

The Confashions Award for the Best Gown goes to the unknown celeb shown in the above photo. I'm not even sure who's the designer of the dress, Zac Posen Maybe? Anyways, I loved it.

So who was your favorite Emmy's red carpet celeb/look?

The dress is nice but it didn't suit her skin tone. Made her look too pale. and I wish she could color her hair a bit darker. But that's only my opinion :)

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
