Crafty LolliPop Creations

You know when you have a special occasion and you want to be able to give the kind of favors that are original and memorable without spending hours and hours trying to pull it all together? Well, LolliPop Creations is the answer to your favors dilemma.

LolliPop Creations is a home based business started by 2 young & creative Kuwaiti ladies who noticed the demand of unique and interesting gifts & favors in the market. All of their favors are handmade uniquely by them. And you can find favors for almost any occasion: weddings, newborns, receptions, and most importantly during Ramadan.. the Gergaia'an (The Kuwaiti version of Halloween's trick-or-treat).

Below are some of their adorable creations. I loved the Dishdasha boy favor shown in the photo below. So ideal for Gergaia'an.

The Bokhnag Girl shown here is the cutest thing. For an order of 24 Bokhnag Girls mixed with black & colored glittery bags and an attached Ramadan greeting is priced at KD 35.

This traditional dress (darra'a) is a major hit in every Gergaia'an gathering. The same material is available upon request to make a matching dress for your baby girl. 48 pieces are available. The price is KD 1.750 per piece.

I find these cute. They're colored little napkins to be used when serving mini desserts or canapes. Each napkin is carefully handmade to suite your taste. Comes in all colors. Stamp printing is also available.

If you want to have a look at all of their items, You can check them out on Facebook. They have their own group. You can easily search for it by typing "Q8 LolliPop" in the search field. For additional inquiries, you can e-mail them at: q8lollipop@gmail.com.

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?
