Sara's Bag.. A walk down memory lane

Remember when Sara's Bags were in several years back? I remember I first got mine from Beirut at their old store (they have a new funky store at hip Gemmayzeh now). My Lebanese friend convinced me to buy it after seeing the owner of Sarah's bag at Funnel Cafe carrying this colorful boho bag with amazing intricate details. The bag was very cheap back then and unpopular with the Kuwaiti population. And then suddenly BAM! every girl in Kuwait wanted to get her hands on the bag! They even had an exhibition twice in Kuwait and their bags were sold out within 2 hours max.

I'm over this trend now but the reason why I brought this up is because recently I saw an Interview on Future TV with Sara's Bag owners and they mentioned that very soon they will be offering their online shopping service. Isn't that interesting? Also, did you know that, in addition to Beirut, their bags are already being sold in UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar?

Looking at Sara's Bag makes you realize how far you have come in terms of fashion maturity...or if you have come very far at all!

A HUGE thank you to all of you who were kind enough to notice my absence and ask about me. Thanks for your concern and kindness. My absence was due to unfashionable circumstances. And now I'm back for good :) Thanks again.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. Have you read it? If yes, what do you think of it?

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
