Qirdala

Qirdala is a new jewelry boutique founded by Kuwaiti entrepreneurs Dhari Al Nafisi and Nasser AlBader and opened at Al Tilal Complex last week. I was invited to the launch and managed to take these photos of the interior and the jewelry on display. They're currently exclusively stocking a Greek jewelry brand called Apriati, which means strong desire for having beautiful possessions. The brand Apriati, is the brainchild of two young Greek designers, Athina Axioti and Themis Bobolas, both educated in Italy.

The jewelry on display were designed to be worn casually to add a bit of luxury to your day-to-day outfits. And the designs were a mix of gold, diamonds and other precious stones, complemented with unexpected materials like silk cords and leather. My favorite piece was the leather bracelet decorated with precious stones and diamonds which you will find a photo of as you scroll down.

As for the interoir, it looked beyond amazing. I loved how the jewelry was displayed on open drawers and the way a party of lightbulbs were dangling from the ceiling. Beautiful! The interior was designed by the talented Kuwaiti intrior designer Yousef Al Ibrahim, whom I have previously featured on my blog here.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .

Magical Mode

As anyone who regularly reads Confashions may know, there are some designers I’ve been obsessed with for quite some time: one is the genius Erdem , the other is Nicholas Kirkwood , and Pierre Hardy . And because their designs are somehow easily accessible online and offline, I had the pleasure of featuring some of their creations and showing them the love they deserve. That said, there is one designer I’ve been particularly smitten with for quite some time. He has always been on the top of my favorite designers list ever since I was introduced to his designs by my fabulous fellow fashionisto Adnan Z Manjal   a couple of years back : Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi . I always wished I featured him more. I couldn’t because his pieces are very exclusive and as far as I know not stocked anywhere here. This clearly isn't just another post on my obvious love for Mohammed Ashi’s designs or the quality of his clothes as I have done that previously. Ashi simply deserves his very own epic p...
