Exclusive: A Tour Around Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa

The other day, I was invited on a private tour of Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait’s latest lavish beachfront 5-star hotel that is set to open this month. I didn't realize how grand and massively huge the hotel is until I stepped inside. The hotel, which occupied approximately 32,516 m2, is located in the secluded area of the Messilah Beach, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It features over 300 rooms and suites, 80 serviced apartments, these will include three bedrooms, two bedrooms, one bedroom units, and duplex suites, and 12 unique seaside villas.

The hotel also offers six distinguished restaurants and lounges, a Talise spa, 200-metre private beach, swimming pool and children’s play area, in addition to extensive conference and banqueting facilities.

The large ballroom, often refered to as the Wedding Ballroom, can comfortably fit over 1,500 seated guests, which means it can fit over 2,000 guests if you plan to have bleachers. This is arguably the biggest wedding ballroom in Kuwait. And it comes with many breakout rooms in case your guest list is small. You can also host a business meeting or simply unwind and indulge at the hotel's exclusive Club Lounge.

Scroll down to view highlights of the exclusive tour. Special thanks goes to the lovely Nouf Al Beshara and Rita of Jumeirah hotel for the tour and hospitality.

This is one of the 6 restaurants/lounges available at the hotel. If my memory serves me right this one is called Arabesque. The marble effect and shade at this Kuwaiti-themed is stunning. Notice the flying birds as part of the marble-covered walls?

For those who are on a diet or very health-concious, Aqua servers calorie-controlled menu options in a very serene quite ambiance. I like how the table are lit below like stars.

The Garden Cafe is part of the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa's lobby

This is Salt, and it's a sea-food restaurant. Doesn't the bubble-shaped chandeliers give the effect of floating salt?

And now on to Pepper, which is a Premier Steakhouse Restaurant. I loved the interior of Pepper. It felt so out of this world. Check out the chandelier shown below and the laser effect floor in the photo above.

I love the fact that the hotel is surrounded with lush gardens, you really feel like you're in a vacation somewhere outside of Kuwait.

The hotel has 3 huuuuge pools. One is 1.9m deep,  the infinity pool is 1.5m deep, and the kiddie pool is decorated with colorful water fountains and play area.

The villas are overlooking the pool

Olio is a Venice-inspired Italian restaurant that overlooks the pools and the beach. Their specialty will be pizzas.

And now a quick look at the fully-furnished villas, which has 5 masterbedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a maid's room, a private parking space, a private pool, and two huge balconies.

The ballroom, check out the details of the cling in the photo below.

One of my favorite multi-purpose rooms in the hotel, called The Reef. The room is entirely covered with tiny colored stones, natural stones, and colored marble. It's so magical, you feel as if you're diving in the deep of the red sea. The room can be used for corporate launches, business events, small wedding or a party.

The view from the presidential suit is simply breathtaking

Looking forward to staying there and trying out the spa and restaurants. Do you have the telephone number to book? They don't seem to have an official website. Great coverage. Thanks! <3

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
