Meet Reemami

It gives me immense pleasure to introduce to you yet another new talent from our region, meet Reema Al Banna, the fashion designer and owner of UAE-based eclectic and playful line ReemamiBorn and raised in the UAE, Reema began her career as a graphic designer. In parallel she pursued her passion for haute couture, she took up a two year fashion course at the prominent French Fashion University , ESMOD, before launching her dream label – Reemami.

A brand for the young and young at heart, Reemami’s ethos are fun, optimism, positivity and creativity. The brand identity is shaped by Reema’s love for vibrant colours and bold patterns, which give her line its signature style.  "When designing this collection i was constantly in search for surprises. Inspired by everything and anything FUN such as magic or magicians, and a few glimpses of the fun fair. A lot of fantasy in the process too", expressed Reema. "I'm always looking to break the norm. The surprise aspect came in most of the collection, hence the random splits, the unusual cuts and a lot of hidden pockets".

I personally loved the pale blue jumpsuit with a small ruffle detail on the waist. Reema is poised to make her mark in the fashion industry. As they say in the fashion world, bring on the next collection! OK, I made that up. I can't wait to see what Reema has for us in her next collection.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
