The Best Dressed. Period.

Sometimes when I'm at a reception or a wedding or a gathering with my friends or sisters, the topic of "who's the best dressed girl of the evening" always arises in our chit-chatting session. Which is normal, us being girls who love fashion and appreciate beauty and style. And since I tend to be picky and a perfectionist I don't always give out high scores to the chosen "best dressed" girl.  HOWEVER, Afrah and Sara Bou Hamra, fashionable financers from my hometown, are a different story. Not only they managed to break the norm in our Kuwaiti fashion scene (style and brains, me like!), but they also managed to get an A+ out of stingy moi. As you can see (top to bottom), they were featured in Harper's Bazaar best dressed list, looked fabulous at the 1st Haute Muse event rubbing shoulders with Olivia, and finally and most recently attended Haute Muse's second "Meet the designers" event. Kudos to their fabulous personal style.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
