Farmville of Fashion

Two days ago, a friend called me from Chanel Boutique in Salhiya Complex howling with excitement over Chanel's new S/S 2010 arrivals. And because I was busy at that time, my shopping spree had to wait for 24 whole freaking hours. It’s such an annoying feeling. You know the feeling you get when you turn up there and everything is already sold out! Speaking of which, Have you ever had a dream where you’re traveling to London and get to pick and choose all the beautiful things in Browns and Harvey Nichols only to find out later that you can’t purchase a thing because you forgot to bring your money?! NIGHTMARE!

Anyhow, the first thing that caught my attention was the new window display of Chanel Boutique, very Farmville-themed (Very true to the runway them), with Chanel logo stamped boxes of rustic hay on the side and some colorful garden-like decoration on the top. And the bags on the window display were just beautiful and elegant. Anyhow, the new collection inside the store was not that exciting, with the exception of some few pieces like the weekender/travel denim bag which looked like the 2.55 but it was humongous, and the red flap bag shown below, some nice cardigans and dresses, and some other canvas bags which unfortunately I didn’t manage to take their photos. No sign of the runway bags yet and according to the sales lady, they will be in store in a week or so (the common answer).

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.
