Almost Genesis

If you’ve been following blogs and celebs lately, you’d probably spotted the Be&D Genesis bag being carried by BryanBoy, Olivia Palermo, and Mena Suvari. And if you want to inspect it up close and personal (well almost) then check out Shoebox NY. I’ve found an almost identical to the Genesis bag but with minor additions by the same brand Be&D. It’s called Be&D Woodstock Portfolio Messenger Bag. The bag has whip stitched detailing and has very soft leather, which makes it extremely lightweight. The bag is quite roomy and I kind of wish it did not have the studded detail, but I liked the bag part. However, I LOVED the shoes more. The ballet flats have a studded strap which can be worn in two ways. I prefer putting the strap behind my feet. And I liked the small studs covering the lavender-ish cross-strap sandals.

Lanvin has a selection of bulky chain strap bags. Also Jimmy Choo has Cristina pleated leather bag with semi-bluky chain straps. Another option would be Marc Jacobs here: http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/60972

Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
