Events: Some Call It Noise‏

Ali Cha'aban will be hosting his next exhibition called “Some Call It Noise”. This is the third installment of his work, the name of the event illustrates that the notion of art can transcend beyond the visual senses and appeal to even more than one. The event will take place on January 13-15 on the land across the Souq Shark on the gulf road; it’s a street art theme so the place serves a righteous atmosphere. Take a sneak peak at what will be on display...

He is a famous anonymous french street artist that goes by the name zevs. He's liquidized a lot of logos...

The chanel one is extra popular because he got caught doing it and was arrested. Happened in Hong Kong, this year I think.

so technically this zev guy is a copier too since he used the already existing chanel logo
Now this ali guy may have used that chanel piece but then he made it his own, thats art you build upon whats offered to you or what u find and try to portray something different

ma3indkom salfa, ith all due respect to your opions bas, that liquadating thing, is a form of artwork a style or techinque, so u don't copyright something like that and even if he did kudos to him for taking advadtage. but seriously one logo and you all call fake, so if i were to noone can paint abstract art besides its founder, just apreciate and move on.

um kalthum pop art? seen it all over lebanon (on clutches even)
http://www.diadiwan.com/global-souk/product/clutch-me-um-kalthoum-trio
Also, i believe theres a shop in karizma selling pop art and have something like that..
I like the audrey hepurn ( kuwaity habba one) but its really ironic since your graphic is a habba and that has all been done before. Your not creative, you just know how to use photoshop. Be original.

Thought I should shed some light that Mark is actually a graphic designer that studied the field and excelled in it, in addition to being a blogger.
My personal take on Ali's work is that it's uninspired, recycled and some of it is quite honestly very poorly made.
It's extremely overpriced for the work that's been put into it as well. 350-500KD for a graphic print on canvas? LOL.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Amazing Alia

Several months ago I posted about Alia Designs , a Kuwaiti talented designer of traditional clothes and dresses. Back then, I liked one of the items featured on her website. This time I'm going ga-ga over her latest Ramadan collection of Kaftans and darraa'at! Especially the one shown here on the first picture. Looks very young, comfortable, and oh-so-perfect for after futoor! For inquiries please visit the website or call (+965) 642-7400.
