Shoe Shopping

I've been excited to see what's in at Villa Moda this Fall. And as promised, here are my favorite shoe styles from the currently available shoe collections (so far!). 2 different styles caught my eyes at D&G. First are these butterfly suede black and white heels, and the other (not featured here) were romantic beige patent leather peep-toe heels with a huge black lace bow decorating the back of the. Very feminine and relatively budget-friendly (less than KD 180).

These dark red Miu Miu peep-toe heels looked plain boring from the front. Howeverrr, the back of the heels had funky ruched detail. I like.

Prada's multi-strap peep-toe heels came in dark purple. Perfect to pop-in some color to your winter greys and blacks.

YSL have really outdone themselves this season with their shoe designs. I'm head over heels with these black suede pumps!!! The shape is so gorgeous and unique. My ultimate number one pick at Villa Moda. Too bad they didn't order the color I wanted. I'm sure I can find them online. Beware though, they're not easy to walk in. But that shouldn't be a problem for shopaholic fashionistas.. right?

And of course there were the insanely popular YSL Tribute heels in patent maroon-ish leather.

Can you guess which brand are those leather textured and studded peep-toe heels with rubber soles? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw these hotties at Ferragamo! Yes! Really!

These are my least favorite shoes by Bottega Veneta. But hey, they look practical and I've never had an issue with comfort with any of my Bottega heels. So I guess these would fall under "safe picks" category.

Aren't u worried everything is fake? I'd rather book a ticket, fly and shop abroad than worry whether my bottega from v moda is fake!

What e-mail scam? Are you referring to that incident when they claimed that VM's merchandise's fake and imported from China? Honestly.. I'm a bit skeptical about that...

Honestly... I really don't believe that all their merchandise is fake.. it doesn't make sense to me. Villa Moda is an international name.. and it's not easy for such a place with a big reputation to get away with selling replicas..

Altuzarra or Aquazzura?

That is the question. It took me a whole season to finally tell these two brands apart, and this season, there's no mistake, each brand is now engraved in my fashion database like a personalized Tiffany's pen. And this Resort 2015 season, I'm head over heels with their flats, on display now at AlOthman Boutique . Altuzarra's version comes in a tonal-gray water snake and are decorated with beige shells, red beads and silver sequins. Aquazzura's lace-up sandals come in a beautiful shade of apple green, and will work with white or bright colored casual summer outfit.  After much thought and sole-searching, I have decided to go for the  Altuzarra   sandals. They're safely stored in my closet, waiting for the dust and the cold to go away.  Which pair would you go for?

To New Beginnings...

"What did this Corona crisis teach you?" my friend asked. My first thought was thing crisis has opened my eyes on the simple pleasures of life. My priorities have changed. And I feel every day is a new beginning. First of all, it made me realize how much I miss blogging. How simple and mentally satisfying it was to jolt down my thoughts on a field that I was very passionate about. I have to admit that I'm not as passionate now. Don't get me wrong, I still like fashion, but it's now on the bottom of my priorities list. I would like to blog about other things too that I feel much related to. I recently discovered that I do enjoy cooking. For the longest time, cooking to me was a nightmare.  This corona crisis has taught us that we can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to help another, or to simply approach things differently, and most importantly to make the most of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
