Boudoir D’huitres has just finished a very successful showing at the New York fashion week. The show was titled “Medusa is Blooming” and the concept behind it is the bold exploration inspired by electric jellyfish tentacles and vivid explosions of underwater colors. This inspiration is transformed into delicate ruffle detailing, gem accents, and elements ranging from architectural leather dresses to embellishments of ostrich feathers.
Standout pieces include a silk faille mini bustier dress with silk double organza ruffles in saturated rose, a tri-colored ostrich feather vest with with chiffon piecing, and a chartreuse lambskin leather mini-bustier dress with sculpted panels.
Boudoir D’huitres retails from $400 - $3000.00 USD. Designer Mimi Plange launched her debut international collection Boudoir D’huitres in late 2007. Boudoir D’huitres has been generating attention from all the top magazines like Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and has been pulled by top magazines including Numero Tokyo, Vogue Italy, Vogue Germany, Marie Claire, L'officiel, Issue One, and Disfunkshion. Here are some images from the event.
