Ralph Masri Jewelry Collection at Qirdala

I have a soft spot for middle eastern inspired designs, so I was thrilled when Beirut-based jewelry designer Ralph Masri got in touch with me to introduce me to his brand and to inform me that by mid January, his collection will be available at Qirdala boutique, a modern jewelry store located at Al Tilal Complex.

Ralph Masri moved to London to train as a jeweller at Central Saint Martins. His first major milestone occurred when he won the Swarovski Award as a first-year student, which gave him the opportunity to work for the global brand. During his second year he received widespread recognition for his talent by being nominated for a UK Jewellery Award – aged 20 he was the youngest to be nominated.

As I browsed through his website to get a closer look at his designs, I found myself intrigued with one specific line inspired by the geometric Arabesque patterns and motifs prevalent in Middle Eastern art and architecture. The pieces are infused with a touch of Art Deco. Here are some of the pieces which caught my fashion radar. To find out more, click here.

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... What do you think? The charms should be available exclusively in  Miu Miu   Boutiques throughout our region.

Sephora Opening Soon At The Avenues II

Beauty Junkies rejoice! The famous retailer of perfumes and cosmetics and the leading beauty chain in Europe and US, Sephora , will be opening soon at The Avenues Phase II. Personally, I like Sephora not only because of its tempting cosmetic selection, but mainly because I don't feel pressured by sales associates to buy stuff that I don't really need. I can actually touch and try the products without having the sales associate stalking me around and giving me some unnecessary comments about my skin/make-up. I think Sephora will make it big here if it sells its high-end cosmetics which are unavailable at other beauty stores/pharmacies in Kuwait. Does anyone have any product recommendations or favorites?
