Go West (Elm)... Life is chicer there

Kuwait is a small market, so it's no surprise to find at least 3 of your relatives or friends owning that same IKEA or West Elm item. Does it bother me? Not really, because a) everyone is styling or displaying it differently, and b) mass production means better deals for us, the hard working class. As I mentioned in my previous posts, we have just recently moved, which means some home improvements and revamping were required. So a visit to West Elm was on top of my "To-do" list. There's more than meets the eye at West Elm. It has a sleek design that's appealing, the display is very creative, and the kitchenware and outdoor accessories are just simple yet very pretty. It's definitely the higher end of IKEA. Here are some of the items I lusted after…. My favorite has to be this puff chair shown in the photo below, it feels like its inspired by vintage Moroccan wedding blankets. Love it!

Miu Miu Pays Tribute to the Middle East

Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a soft spot for bag charms. They're fun, cute, and add a dose of irresistible character to your plain handbag. So when I got the news about Miu Miu paying tribute to the Middle Eastern culture by presenting an exclusive playful yet multifunctional accessories in luxurious precious skin, I got excited intrigued. The round-shaped charms has the Arabic alphabet, each piece presenting a letter design with metallic hues and vibrant colors. They're cute, nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure if these bags charms would step up my bag charms game, but I guess it depends on their price tag and how "exclusively" exclusive they are. Maybe they'll grow on me? I don't know... Marie Clair - Kuwait is in Arabic of course. Chanel Bags on Discount?!

If you thought that getting a cheap Chanel bag that's within your budget is something too far fetched, then think again. You'll be surprised to know that Chanel's boutique located at Salhiya Complex is currently selling several bags, that are a maximum 1 or 2 seasons old, on discount . And we're not talking about a 2 or 5% discount here, these bags are 50% off their original price! For some reason I always thought that Chanel bags never go on sale. But I guess the printed ones or the ones that are made out of the collection's main fabric have to go on sale. Anyways, I managed to take photos of these 2 beauties. What I love about those bags is that they're a classic shape that never goes out of style, their print is young and refreshing, plus they're quilted. I think they could be a collector's item. Both bags featured here are sold for approximately KD 250 .
